Overview
Location: Home-based, remote role, with preference for candidates located in Spain, France or UK.
Contract: We will develop a tailored consultancy offer based on the chosen candidates’ expertise and availability. We expect an initial consultancy could be for 60 hours across 2 months, with the possibility of extension.
About the Global Cooksafe Coalition
The Global Cooksafe Coalition (GCC) is an unprecedented alliance of experts committed to the electrification of cooking in all buildings in the OECD by 2040 and worldwide by 2045.
Launched in Australia in late 2022 and in the UK in 2024, the GCC is a response to the growing awareness of the impacts of dangerous fuels and their use for cooking.
The coalition has the support of celebrity chefs, major global property companies, and leaders in health, aid and development, climate change, and renewable energy.

About the role
We are looking for experts in building electrification in Spain, France and the UK.
Our ideal candidate has significant experience working in or with the property sector in one or more of these countries. They will have worked directly on building electrification and have a deep understanding of the challenges and emerging solutions.
If you are passionate about the energy transition, this consultancy is a chance to contribute to scaling the electrification of the built environment in one or more of these countries.
Selection criteria
Essential
- Experience working at a senior level in or adjacent to the property management sector in Spain, France and/or the UK
- Expertise in electrification and a deep understanding of the challenges and benefits it presents for residential and commercial buildings
- Knowledge of the legislative and policy landscape related to building electrification in Europe and/or the UK
- A strong network of senior professionals in the property space in Spain, France and/or UK
- Excellent strategic thinking, with the ability to co-develop actionable plans to solve complex challenges
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience in successfully engaging with senior stakeholders
- Fluency in English is essential
- Right to work in the country you live in (please note we are not able to offer sponsorship for a business visa or work permit at this time)
Desirable
- Fluency in French and/or Spanish
- Experience working with the hospitality sector in Spain, France and/or the UK

Key responsibilities
The scope of work will be agreed on with the chosen candidate(s) and could include:
- Review and refinement of GCC’s strategy in Spain/France and/or UK, with a focus on property and/or hospitality sector engagement
- Review and refinement of communications materials targeting the property and/or hospitality sector
- Representation of GCC at events and at meetings with senior-level professionals in the property and hospitality sectors
- Input into property sector scoping and engagement with property stakeholders in support of GCC’s mission
- Collaboration on a matrix for challenges and solutions regarding building electrification in key segments and geographies
